It was one of those days.

Thief King Bakura hated these days.

You know, it was one of those days.

And it didn't help that his only possible lover had the mind of a nine-year-old.

The one thing that would make him the happiest spirit in history was... A kiss.

He sat down by the desk in the game room, watching his mage arrange their fellow pawns on the shelves.

"Miss Merchant looks okay there, right?" The White Mage Bakura pointed over to said figure.

"I never saw her enough to care." Was Akefia's answer.

Mage pouted and rearranged another group of past heroes who only he'd recognize.

"Hey... Mage." Akefia stretched his arms out.

"Uh huh?"

"Am I ever gonna get that kiss?"

He could see the Pawn Spirit blush when he said that.

"O-Oh, uhm..."

A wide grin (it was almost a smirk) appeared on his face and he shook his head violently, "No."

"Wh-... Why not?!"

He giggled and looked through the shelf, looking through the pawns.

He picked out the odd couple who worked in Monsley Kingdom's inn.

Akefia raised an eyebrow as the mage manipulated them until it gave off the impression that they were hugging.

Oh what a sore looser.

The king of thieves got up and went over to the mage, arms crossed, "I get it. Rejected. No need to rub it in my face, Mage. Honestly, what's it gonna take already?"

White Mage smiled, "Well you can stop being an ugly idiot who only thinks about three things."

"U-Ugly?!"

When the thief's face turned as red as his robe, Mage bolted out the room laughing like mad child.

"Hey...! Where're you going now?!" Akefia grumbled and left the room.

He was about to turn down the hall when he bumped right into Mage, "You're just standing there?"

"No I'm not, I'm waiting for you because you're slow!"

It was times like this when Akefia asked himself 'why bother?'.

Before he knew it the mage was off again down the hallway.

"...Aren't you kinda old for chase?"

Oh well.

With a shrug the Thief King grinned and chased after him.

Mage lead the thief through almost every room in the apartment, enjoying himself all the while.

Akefia had to stop for a moment to catch his breath, "You're... A fast runner for someone with short legs."

The Pawn Spirit came back over to him and poked his forehead, "I'm not short, you're just way too tall."

"Thanks for the info."

"You're welcome!"

Just as Akefia was about to grab him, the mage made his daring escape and continued running with a smile.

The chase didn't last much longer than that, as it was a fairly small apartment, and finally Mage ran into Ryou's room and slammed the door closed.

Akefia stood there listening to him giggling on the other side of the door.

He was sure to have a good laugh himself.

Being a ghost, he appeared right behind the mage; who cried in not-so surprise.

"Gotcha!" He swooped the mage up and sat down on the bed.

"Yes you did!" Mage laughed more.

"Hah... So, what was the point in that?"

Thief King blinked when the mage embraced him in a tight hug. "Uh..."

White Mage grinned gleefully, not planning on letting go any time soon, "Maybe I'll think of a point later."

With a chuckle, Akefia gave his mage a pat on the head, "Works for me."

When the mage finally let go, he yawned happily.

"So... Does this mean I get my kiss after all?"

The mage pouted for a moment before smirking, "Nope!"

In a split second he scooted off the bed and ran out the room, opening and slamming the door closed once again.

And so Akefia just sat there for a second.

"...Oh come on!"
Okay, so I started writing something else today...
Then I stopped right in the middle and started writing this.

Guess I just wanted to write with White Mage today.

Thief King and White Mage Bakura belong to Kazuki Takahashi.
