Do you believe in happy endings?
"Why do you insist on keeping that girl?!" Scowled a small shadow girl, about the age of ten, with short, messy purple hair, bright green eyes and a ragged black dress along with long black and white stripped socks. Her name was Shadow Gumi. Her older sister; a shadow of age fourteen, glared back at her.
"Because she's my baby! Why wouldn't I?!" Shadow Kaymi replied in a small growl. Kaymi was a fairly slim shadow. Her long purple hair flowed in every step she took and her green eyes glowed. She wore a black dress with long black boots, and she had a small purple stone in the necklace she wore. She wasn't a perfect shadow, far from it.
"She was adopted."
"I know! But she's still my baby!" Kaymi set out various dresses along her bed, there was a dreamy smile on her face. Gumi took a good look into her sister's eyes as she placed her clothes onto the bed.
"
I know that girl reminds you of her."
Kaymi froze. Her face grew red and she snapped her head over at Gumi. "What makes you think I feel ANYTHING left for that stupid Link?!" Kaymi's sudden outburst didn't faze Gumi much at all. Her expression just remained blank and cold. Kaymi only calmed down when she heard a little noise and the door of their room. A young shadow peeked through the door to see what was going on. Her name was Shadow Sally; Kaymi's adopted daughter. Sally about the age of ten, but much less mature than Gumi. Sally had long purple hair like Kaymi, but her eyes were a bright gold colour. She had a short black dress and a silver scarf with white tights and a yellow undershirt, and with a little skull clip in her hair. "Sally!" Kaymi ran up to Sally and hugged her tightly. Gumi rolled her eyes and continued folding their clothes.
It had been nearly two hours later when they heard a loud knock. The door was answered by Sally, who looked up at the shadow with a curious face. The shadow known as Shadow Link looked down and kneeled in front of Sally so they were eye to eye. "Now, who're you suppose to be?" He said in a light tone. Sally smiled sweetly at him. She put up a finger as if to pose.
"I'm Shadow Sally!!" Sally giggled.
"Shadow Sally, eh?" Shadow Link chuckled to himself and patted Sally's head. "Are those other guys here?"
"What other guys?" Sally gave a confused look. "Do you mean mommy and auntie?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Oh, okay!" Sally ran off for only a second and in no time at all she came back holding Kaymi's hand and Gumi following close behind.
"What is it?" Gumi demanded.
"Master Vaati wants to see ya!" Shadow Link laughed a bit as he said 'master'. "He said it was something important, but I kinda doubt it!"
"What does he want?" Kaymi gave Shadow Link a look. He laughed in return.
"I dunno! Why don't ya go see for yourself? Said he needs your service, that's all I know!"
Kaymi nodded and with Sally's hand she walked right past Shadow Link. Kaymi could remember a time when she was in love with Shadow Link, but things quickly turned sour for her when he had stabbed her right threw the heart. Just thinking about it now made Kaymi feel sick to the bone
Shadow Link led the three shadows to the throne room of the castle where Vaati lounged on a tall throne. One after another they bowed to him and Vaati called them forward
"The Shadow Sisters, correct?" Vaati looked down at them.
"That's right!" Kaymi pointed up to him. She then got into a pose along with Gumi and Sally. "I'm Shadow Kaymi!"
"I'm Shadow Gumi." Gumi's expression remained blank as she posed.
"And I'm Shadow Sally!" Sally announced cheerfully.
"And we're the Shadow Sisters!" All three cheered out.
"
Well, I'm not really a sister, but Kaymi is my mommy!" Sally explained.
"She was adopted." Gumi said with a cold glare.
"Yes, yes." Vaati raised his hand. "Now, you want to know why I have called you?"
"Yeah!" Kaymi yelled from where she was, just to make sure Vaati could hear her.
"I have a little job for you
" Vaati put his fingertips together with his legs crossed. "You know the Links, right?"
"How could we forget." Gumi scowled.
"What do you want us to do?" A bit of an unsure feeling came over Kaymi. She wasn't sure if she really wanted to face Green Link
Vaati grinned. "I want you to bring me a certain one."
"
Which one?" Kaymi asked, growing a bit tense.
"Yellow Link."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaymi had been running errands for her Master Vaati. It was on the way back when she was seen in the shade of a tree by the blond girl with a yellow tunic. Kaymi was about to leave when she heard a voice from behind.
"Who are you?" A girl asked in a soft voice. Kaymi smirked at her.
"I am Shadow Kaymi!" She replied, "...Shadow Link's wife~!" A lie, of course, not that Kaymi cared.
"Shadow Link...?" A look of caution had seemed to be triggered in the girl's eyes. Now it was Kaymi's turn to ask who the girl was;
"So! Now you have to tell me who you are~!" The girl's train of thought ended at that question. Not that her answer would do Kaymi justice.
"I'm Yellow! Yellow Link!" Was her reply. Oh how it caught Kaymi off guard. A Link! Could you imagine it? Right where you would want her! And all alone... Kaymi smirked at the thought. Now was her chance; and Kaymi wasn't going to let it slip from her fingers! She grinned.
Kaymi pulled at Yellow's sleeve. "Swim!! I wanna go swimming!" Yellow gave her a look.
"Swimming...?" To Kaymi's excitement, Yellow eventually gave a small nod. Kaymi grabbed onto Yellow's hand and raced across the field to Lake Hylia.
Kaymi kicked the water at the edge. She took a good look around... No one was there. Now she could finish the job... She takes hold of the small dagger on her belt and quietly pulls it out. She turns around to see Yellow... -Taking off her tunic and boots leaving her with her underclothes. Using them as a swimsuit, she jumped into the water. Kaymi pouted for a second... "Ah whatever! I'll just drown her!" Kaymi took off her dress and boots and jumped into the water to join Yellow. "Yeah... Nobody's gonna suspect a thing..." Kaymi stalked slowly behind Yellow... When Yellow turned around to ask the shadow a question.
"Kaymi... What do you like to do?" Kaymi froze. She had never been asked a question like that... Kaymi hid a smile...
"Me? I like to... dance!" She giggles as she said those words, and Kaymi danced around in the water. Yellow smiled and clapped.
"I bet you'd be pretty good at dancing too!!" She laughed I can see you dancing in a dark room!! It was a good feeling Kaymi had... Deep inside of her, Kaymi wondered if all this was really worth it... But she knew she had to.
"Yellow... Let's go check out that corn field!" Kaymi pointed over to it. With a smile that could fool anyone; Kaymi pulled Yellow over to the surface of the water and got out, followed by Yellow. Kaymi grinned and grabbed hold of Yellow's wrist and pulled her through the cornfield.
"Ow!! Kaymi you're hurting me!!" Yellow cried with an uneasy look on her face. Kaymi didn't care about that. The deeper into the field they got the tighter her grip became. She had to make sure Yellow wouldn't get away... She finally stopped when they reached the center. She let lose of her grip. "Kaymi...?" Yellow said almost in a whisper. Kaymi was completely quiet; pulling out the dagger... She attacked. Slashing Yellow on her arm. Yellow gave out a shriek of pain. "Wha-What are you doing!?!" Kaymi slashed at her again; hitting her on her forehead. Kaymi giggled wickedly as Yellow screamed; her face full of tears.
"How do you like this pain?!" Kaymi cackled. Never had she felt this alive! She looked down at her victim's face; wanting to see her pain! Her sorrow! ...But when she looked at it, something in her... Kaymi stopped in an instant. She dropped the dagger. Yellow fell to the ground in pain and tears. Such pain; and Kaymi had caused it all. Kaymi found herself not being able to cause any more harm to the yellow Link. Even if she would have finally gotten approval of Vaati and Shadow Link, she knew: she would never be able to live with herself. Kaymi looked down at the dying Yellow. She knew Vaati wouldn't be happy with her, but... She pulled out a small fairy and used it on Yellow. Yellow slowly got up... Kaymi bent down on her knees. "...I'm sorry." She finally said. Yellow gazed at her.
"K-Kaymi...?" Kaymi was quiet. She stared at the ground in shame; not sure what to expect. ...It was to her own surprise when Yellow hugged her. Kaymi was shocked. But smiled a bit and hugged Yellow back. Only a few seconds ago she had just tried to KILL Yellow! And now here they were hugging like lovers...
"I'm so sorry about that... I just... It's just that I thought if..." Kaymi sobbed in Yellow's arms.
That night the hero and the villain walked side by side with each other.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, any ideas?" Gumi asked as she went threw different small tools in their drawers. Kaymi lay down on her bed looking up at the ceiling. She was too deep in thought to hear Gumi's question. Gumi shook her head, knowing the look on Kaymi's face, she knew it would be almost impossible to get Kaymi's attention.
"Are we really going to kidnap Daddy?" Sally sighed as she drew pictures of different animals.
"Yes. Should it matter?" Gumi glared at Sally. She walked over to her and looked at the drawing. "What is that suppose to be?!"
"Oh
It's a froggy!" Sally smiled. She loved sharing her many pictures.
"I see." Gumi picked it up. "Heh, heh
It is as ugly as a toad."
"Is that a good thing?"
"No." Gumi then crumpled up the drawing and, to Sally's horror, she threw it in the fire.
"H-Hey!!" Sally cried out. Gumi smirked.
"Now, don't be so lazy and help think of a plan." Gumi turned around and continued to look threw weapons. "
Before I throw you into the fire too."
"O-Okay
" Sally got off from the floor. "Maybe we could have a biiig net!" She started. "And we could have bait! So when daddy comes, we pull the net over her!"
Gumi looked at Sally as if she was mentally retarded. "You're not six years old, you fool!" Gumi then whacked Sally over the head. "I'm almost disgusted that we're the same age!" She was sure to hit Sally twice.
"Ahh!!" Sally held her head in pain as she quietly began to cry. Gumi thought for a while as she watched Sally
"
Actually." A wide, devious grin began to pull over Gumi's face. "That might have been the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but I think you've given me an idea~!"
Sniffling, Sally looked up at Gumi. "Wha-What do you mean?"
"Come with me." Gumi tightly took hold of Sally's arm and pulled her into a room.
"What are you going to do?" Sally had a worried expression. Gumi grinned and let go of Sally to grab something. She looked back at Sally, holding a long piece of rope.
"Now, just shut up and don't move."
Gumi walked right past Kaymi, dragging a tied up Sally behind her. "Kaymi, let's go."
"H-Huh
?" Kaymi slowly got up to see Sally tied up. "HEY!! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
Gumi grinned at her sister. "We have our bait."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The shadow girl had never been very good when it came to love. Kaymi always had a deep feeling that this would happen, but never expected it to really hurt this much. There had been many chances for her before, and each time she had blown it. She lay down on her small bed completely enraged. For quite some time now she had the most wonderful, amazing, and obsessive crush on a certain Link in yellow. Just seeing her with the green Link simply broke her heart... After she had met Yellow, it seemed as if she was her life; her only meaning of existence. She would have even given up for life for Yellow. So why did she do this? She hated the felling she had and was sick and tired of experiencing it. She started to wonder if there really was such a thing as 'love'. Perhaps only in fairy tales
But this was the real world. Of course, even in fairy tales, the villains would always parish.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Don't move so much!" Gumi scolded Sally by hitting her over the head.
"Ow!!" Sally whimpered. Gumi took the rope and tied it over a long solid rock that was well over the lava of Death Mountain.
"HEY!!" Kaymi screamed into Gumi's ear. "Quit doing that!!" Kaymi then slapped Gumi right across the face. Gumi snarled at Kaymi and then tackled her onto the ground.
"Don't you DARE tell ME what to do!" Gumi put her hands tightly around Kaymi's neck as if to choke her, but Kaymi kicked her off.
"P-Please stop it!!" Sally pleaded watching them. Kaymi and Gumi got up; glaring at each other.
"I told you not to tell me what to do!" Gumi yelled out. "I have this all planned out!"
"But why do you have to use Sally?!" Kaymi pushed Gumi a bit. "What if she falls?! Did you think about that?!"
"Why should I care if she falls?" Gumi smirked. Kaymi growled, ready to kill Gumi. "Whatever. Let's just get this over with"
Reluctantly, Kaymi nodded. "What do I have to do?!"
"What do you think." Gumi scowled. "Lure Yellow here!"
"
Fine." Kaymi then ran off to find the yellow hero. "DON'T DO ANYTHING!"
Gumi waited for Kaymi to have left. She then looked over at Sally from where she was tied up, who looked down at the lava with a worried face. "
I wont do much."
Kaymi looked in many different places over Hyrule for Yellow, checking far and wide. She eventually found her with Green Link in Lake Hylia; where Kaymi had taken Yellow so many times
Kaymi slowly walked over to them.
"Oh?" Yellow Link looked over at Kaymi. She then smiled. Yellow was a bit shorter than Kaymi, she had gold eyes and short blond hair. She wore a yellow tunic and large glasses. She and Green were sitting together at the waters edge. Kaymi froze a bit, but continued walking over to them. She could see Green with a suspicious look over his face as he half way pulled out his sword. Kaymi quickly got her act together and she ran over to them as quickly as her legs to take her.
"Yellow!!" Kaymi called over to them, trying to make her voice sound urgent.
"Kaymi? What happened?!" Yellow got up and ran over to Kaymi. Kaymi tightly took hold of Yellow's arm and looked into Yellow's eyes.
"It's Sally!"
Yellow and Green followed Kaymi to Death Mountain where they saw Sally hanging from the rock. Yellow nearly screamed and dashed forward toward the edge.
"Yellow!!" Green called out to her, Kaymi watched from behind, a bit frightened.
"D-Daddy!" Sally called out, noticing them. She had been swinging there for what seemed like forever, with only a few cuts and scraps from Gumi. Though she knew why Yellow was here, she was glad to see her more than anyone.
"H-Hang on!!" Yellow began to cast a small spell; she threw a shard of ice; and it cut the rope and it fell down; soon to be into the lava, taking Sally with it. She screamed. "SALLY!!" Yellow panicked.
"Sally!!" Kaymi screamed out in horror. "Just teleport!!!"
"Auntie Gumi told me not to!!!" Sally screamed out.
"Auntie Gumi
?!" Green looked at Kaymi, full of suspicion. Kaymi didn't know what else to do. She jumped into the pit.
"Kaymi!!" Yellow watched, feeling helpless. Kaymi teleported closer and closer to Sally, and before they hit the lava, Kaymi grabbed onto Sally.
"It's okay, Sally, Mommy's here!" She reassured her and they teleported back to the others safe and sound. Yellow ran over and hugged Sally tightly. Kaymi smiled to herself. Though taking a good look at Yellow now, there was something different about her than before
"Well, isn't this precious." Gumi came out from her hiding place.
"Gumi!" Kaymi almost screamed. "I told you not to do ANYTHING!! Why did you let that happen?!"
"I thought it was needed for the plan." Gumi smirked.
"Plan
?" Yellow looked up confused.
"That's right." Gumi grinned, looking directly at Yellow. "Master Vaati wants you, and we're here to bring you to him."
Green's eyes widened. "So this was a trap!" He took out his sword and got in front of Yellow.
"That's right. Kaymi and Sally helped too." Gumi slowly walked towards them. "In fact they did most of the work."
"Kaymi? And Sally
?" Yellow looked down at Sally, surprised. "Wha-What does Vaati want with me?!"
"I don't know. But I don't care ether. Now
" Gumi disappeared for a moment. She then appeared right behind Green; knocking him out completely cold. "Let's go."
"R-Right!" Kaymi ran over to Yellow and pulled her up. She tried her best not to look into Yellow's frightened eyes. Sally held tightly onto Yellow's only free hand and the shadows teleported back to the castle, along with the yellow hero.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite Kaymi's anger for the Yellow hero, something happened today... Something that would change her life forever... Today Yellow Link had come to her; with her was a small shadow child about the age of ten. This surprised Kaymi.
"Hi mummy!" The child giggled as she swung around Kaymi's waist. Mummy? Kaymi was over whelmed!
I found this child for adoption! Yellow explained as she smiled, I even signed a certificate! You're the mummy and I'm the daddy!" Why did Yellow do this? Was it pity? Kaymi didn't know.
" She still needs a name! Yellow smiled.
" I wanna name her... SALLY!" Kaymi announced.
"Sally? Alright!" Yellow laughed. She then kissed Sally on the head. Kaymi and Yellow spent the day together playing with their new little girl. They watched a movie as well as many other things. At the end of the day Yellow said good-bye with a friendly hug and left Sally with Kaymi.
Kaymi cuddles up on her bed with Sally asleep in her arms. Today was a good day... A very good day indeed... Although she still wasn't so sure about Yellow, she may have found it in her heart to forgive her after all...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Here she is, Master." Gumi said calmly as they entered the throne room along with Yellow.
"Perfect!" Vaati clapped. "I had a feeling I could count on you!"
"What are you going to do with her
?" Kaymi asked, holding tightly onto Yellow.
"I shall tell you later." Vaati took a sip out of his wine. "I have no need for Yellow just yet
For now, put her in a cell. This'll only be for a few days." Vaati then waved his hand, as a signal for them to take Yellow away. As instructed, they took Yellow and they put her into a small little cell in the basement. And then they left her there.
Though Yellow was trapped, she was never lonely. Sally would come and tell Yellow all of her stories, her interests, her fears. Even some of the things Gumi had done to her. Yellow listened in horror and hugged her daughter tightly.
Soon it was Kaymi's turn to see Yellow. She had so many questions
"Yellow
" She sat down on a small slab of stone by the cell.
"Kaymi?" Yellow smiled to see her, but that smile soon disappeared. "I don't like it here. It's too cold. I wanna be in the heat again
In the warmth of home
"
"I know." Kaymi put her arm into the cell and took hold of Yellow's hand. Kaymi smiled at her with a slight blush. "That's why I came to bust you out!"
"Huh?"
Kaymi stood up and took out a small key. "I'll let you out. If you tell me one thing."
"What is it
?" Yellow looked at her with a curious face.
Kaymi looked at Yellow's stomach, getting an uneasy feeling. "Why are you so fat?!" Kaymi's question burst out without much thought to it.
"H-Huh?!" Yellow examined her weight and then she laughed. "I'm not fat!"
Kaymi looked confused. "Then what's wrong
?"
Yellow shook her head, blushing. "Oh, nothing's wrong, Kaymi!" She giggles. "I'm pregnant!"
Kaymi froze. "Wha-What
?!"
"Me and Green are having a baby!! Isn't it wonderful?" Yellow was blushing. "We're gonna name the kid Lime! I hope it's a girl!! But Green wants a boy
Oh, who cares! I'm gonna have a kid!!"
Kaymi just stood there. She didn't know what to say
She should feel happy for Yellow, but an anger took over her
Kaymi dropped the key and it fell to the ground.
"
Kaymi?" Yellow looked at her confused. "What's wrong?" Kaymi didn't answer, but she gave a cold glared at Yellow. "Kaymi???"
Kaymi backed away from Yellow. "WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH?!" She screamed and ran out from the dungeon and that was the last time Yellow saw of Kaymi until Vaati had called for them again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaymi happily cuddled up with Sally snuggling in her arms... Kaymi's mind was busy dreaming about a certain special someone... Kaymi had been thinking about her a lot lately; a dreamy, wonderful, and obsessive crush of the smart and beautiful Yellow Link. Kaymi knew for a fact that she was in love with her. And Kaymi knew that Yellow loved her back... A memory Kaymi would never forget.
When Yellow had brought Sally to Kaymi, they had gone out to buy ice cream... And it was there that Yellow confessed to Kaymi... Kaymi knew it was true. She knew it.
But the question haunted her; why doesn't Yellow get rid of Green?! That stupid Green Link was the only person who stood in her way of having Yellow... A wide twisted grin then started to pull over Kaymi's face as a rather wicked thought soon came to her...
Perhaps it's just that she's waiting for me to get rid of him for her~...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yellow was alone in her cell. She wondered what she had done to make Kaymi so angry with her
She had told her about the greatest thing in her life, and this was what happened. Sometimes Yellow wondered if Kaymi even cared about her
She soon heard someone coming. She turned over to see Kaymi and Gumi and the doorway, both had a blank look on their faces. "It's time."
Yellow found herself being pushed threw the halls without much care at all. The whole time Yellow watched Kaymi, she didn't look at Yellow at all. They pushed her into the throne room where Vaati was waiting, beside him was a table. There were a few other shadows that were there to watch, but no one really knew what was going on. Sally sat against the wall, in tears. The moment Vaati saw Yellow, he grinned the widest grin anyone had ever seen.
"Come, and put her onto this table." Vaati sounded excited.
"I'm not scared of you
" Yellow said slowly.
"You will be."
As Kaymi and Gumi set Yellow onto the table, Kaymi looked over at Vaati. "
What are you going to do to Yellow
?" She asked quietly.
"Oh, I suppose it wouldn't matter much if I told you!" Vaati put a finger under Yellow's chin and grinned. "You see, this girl here has an amazing amount of power
And I want it."
"Amazing power
?" Yellow asked. "I can only do a little amount of magic! What do you mean 'amazing power'?!"
Vaati chuckled. "Oh it's there alright
But you're not fit to be able to use it. That's why I'm going to be taking it."
"
How?" Yellow tried to hide her fear.
"Why I'm going to kill you."
A silence took over the room. Both Yellow looked at Vaati in horror. "K-Kill me?!" she gasped. Kaymi still felt angry, but a thought soon came to her
"Wait
If you kill Yellow
You'll kill her baby too!" Kaymi gasped. Though she never knew she cared so much
"What?!" Yellow looked at Kaymi. She hadn't thought about that before
"Please don't kill me!!" She began to beg.
"Be quiet dear." Vaati laughed, "And you too, Shadow Kaymi."
"But what about my baby!" Yellow cried.
Vaati grinned. "That means twice the power. First
" Vaati got up to all the other shadows and began to chant.
"Kaymi, you have to help me!!" Yellow whispered to Kaymi.
Kaymi looked at her. "I don't know, Yellow."
"Please Kaymi!!"
"Yellow!" Kaymi snapped.
Yellow looked down at the ground, and slowly began to cry. "Kaymi
I'm scared
"
"Well, you should've thought about that before you decided to have Greenie's kid!" Kaymi scoffed.
"Why are you like that?!"
Even in her scowl, Kaymi began to blush a bit. "
Because it's not fair."
"Not fair
?"
"That's right!" Kaymi tried to be quiet, but she just couldn't help it. "All you ever do, all your ever worried about, is that stupid Greenie Link! That's all you care about! That and his stupid baby!"
Yellow listened, somewhat in shock. "What do you mean?"
"What do you think I mean?! I hate your stupid boyfriend and I hate your stupid kid!" Kaymi stomped her foot on the ground. Yellow looked down on her in tears. She still wasn't sure if she really understood, but, with a bit of force, she managed to free her arms and she hugged Kaymi. Kaymi's eyes widened in the hug.
"You know, even if I'm pregnant, we'll always be friends!" Yellow smiled.
Kaymi sighed. "You just don't get it
"
"Wha-What?"
Kaymi's head jerked up and she looked straight into Yellow's eyes. She knew it wouldn't make a difference, but she needed to tell Yellow. Kaymi knew that Yellow meant much more to her than she meant to Yellow, but even so, she had to know. "I love you."
Yellow didn't say anything, she simply stared at Kaymi. "Kaymi
" She said quietly, "
Y-You're my friend. I love you
But as a friend."
"I know." Kaymi began to undo Yellow's chains with a slight smile. "But that doesn't mean I'll stop."
"..Hm?!" Vaati turned around at the sound of the chains and too see Kaymi pull off the last chain. Yellow slid off of the table and gave Kaymi a little hug. Vaati snarled and ran over to them. "Shadow Kaymi, what are you DOING?!"
"Letting Yellow go." Kaymi answered boldly. A large chatter broke out among the other shadows. Vaati frowned. He grabbed hold of the two girl's wrists and throwing Kaymi to the ground, he dragged Yellow back over to the table. Yellow watched in fear as he then took out a knife. Vaati cut across the palm of Yellow's hand and she gave a sheik of pain.
"Yellow!!" Kaymi called out. She formed a ball of darkness and threw it at Vaati and he fell over. Kaymi got up, grabbing Yellow, she made a run for it.
"Grr
Shadow Link, GET THEM!" Vaati pointed over to them.
"What do you want me to do about it?" Shadow Link made a shrug.
"Hmph." Vaati got up. "This just proves that if you want something done, you have to do it yourself!" Vaati then disappeared into the wind.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaymi was relaxing in the shade of a tree in the Hyrule field that day... But the last thing she expected was to meet none other than Green Link there. Oh how Kaymi hated him... He hadn't appeared at first. Probably hiding... Wuss! Having heard a dragon fly over, Kaymi had heard Green gasping. Kaymi turned around, but saw nothing... She then heard him again... Kaymi wondered if she was simply starting to lose it... But when she saw him move at the corner of her eye she had to investigate. She appeared by the tree where she heard him and looked around. Kaymi caught him in the tree...
Kaymi appears right in front of Green.
"FOUND YOU~!" She grinned.
"AH!" Green fell off the branch but managed to grab and hang onto it. Kaymi giggled and appeared on the branch. She stomped onto Green's hands as she then began to giggle uncontrollably. Green swung off landing in a bunch of leaves. He then threw his boomerang at Kaymi.
"Wha-WHAA!!" Kaymi quickly moves out the way; but lost her balance and fell off; grabbing the branch.
Green laughed. "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!"
"HMPH!" Kaymi scowled and sent a ball of darkness right at him! But then Green hit it with sword. Hmph. Kaymi scowled and reappeared back on the branch again. "SCREW YOU GREENIE!! SCREW YOU!!!"
Of course Green would say the only thing that really pissed her off... "You're hair is ugly!" Green said with a smirk. How DARE he!!
"Wha-WHAT!?!" Of all things, Kaymi HATED being made fun of.
It annoys me. "Do you ever brush it?" He grinned. Kaymi clenched her teeth; glaring at the green hero.
"I HATE YOU!!" She then screamed, "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!! I HATE YOU!!! I HATE YOU!!!!" She then tackled Green.
"UGH!!" Green fell to the ground trying to push Kaymi off. He managed to get her off of him; giving her a sharp glare.
"And I was going to let Yellow date you!" He yelled. This was what made Kaymi stop... She simply glared at him. Kaymi could see how angry Green was... As good as his pain made her feel, those words... Kaymi didn't know what to do. She could feel tears starting to come out from her eyes... She slowly backed away from the green hero. His angered eyes stared her down... Without much of a thought, Kaymi ran. As far away from Green as possible... Far away under a tree Kaymi sat there in tears. She hated Green. So much. She wanted to rip him into pieces... But just what he said and the way he looked at her... Kaymi just laid there for the rest of the day... And slowly cried herself to sleep...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaymi and Yellow made it our of the castle panting. They checked around; Vaati wasn't anywhere to be found. "Has he stopped chasing us?" Yellow looked back and fourth making sure.
"Yeah, I think so!" Kaymi giggled. Betraying Vaati, saving Yellow
It felt pretty good. For the first time in a long time, Kaymi felt somewhat happy. But there was someone, who they weren't expecting to be there
"KAYMI!"
Kaymi and Yellow looked over in surprise. It was Green.
"Green!!" Yellow sang out his name and she danced over and into his arms. Green swung her around and held her tightly.
"I'm never letting go of you again!" He laughed. Kaymi watched them, enviously. Oh how she wanted to be in that situation
Green looked over at Kaymi, anger in his eyes. He drew out his sword and pointed it directly at Kaymi.
"Green
?" Yellow said almost in a whisper.
"KAYMI, YOU KIDNAPPED YELLOW, YOU HARMED HER
" Green announced, "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL!"
"Wha-What?!" Kaymi backed away.
"You heard me. LET'S GO!" Green then charged towards Kaymi.
"G-Green, NO!!" Yellow screamed. Kaymi quickly took out her knife and managed to block Green's attack with it. She had neither sword nor shield, but all she needed was her shadow powers. Kaymi slashed back at Green, not doing much damage, but cutting him a bit on his waist.
"Ack!!" Green held onto his waist and Kaymi slashed across his stomach. "G-GWAA!!"
"GREEN!!!" Yellow shrieked, "KAYMI!! STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!!"
"You cheater!" Green slashed his sword. Kaymi jumped back to avoid it and Green jumped up to attack her. This attack his Kaymi in the leg and she tumbled over. Kaymi teleported onto a branch in a tree looking at her bleeding leg. Green swung his boomerang at her and she fell off.
"NO!!" Yellow watched in horror. She hated feeling so helpless. She knew she had to do something
Kaymi groaned in pain as she lay on the ground. Green walked over her and glared down. He took his sword and raised it above his head, and swung down.
But it wasn't Kaymi who took the final hit.
Green gave Yellow a look of horror as she fell down beside Kaymi, her has a large cut and it gushed blood.
"Y-Yellow are you okay?!" Green dropped down beside her. "Yellow! Yellow!!" Yellow looked up at him and made a small smile.
"I hope
The baby's okay
"
"Y-Yellow!!" Kaymi slowly sat up. "We need to heal her." Her head twitched over to face Green. "I think I have something
" Kaymi pulled out a purple potion out from her belt and gave it to Green.
"What is it?" Green asked.
"Give it to Yellow, it'll heal her." Kaymi smiled as Green poured some of the potion into Yellow's mouth. Yellow chocked a bit, but slowly opened her eyes.
"Oh
Hello Green, Kaymi!" Yellow smiled sweetly.
"H-Hello!" Kaymi smiled back. She hugged Yellow tightly. Green chuckled.
"Well, looks like this has been a fun day!" He also found himself hugging both Yellow and Kaymi.
"Are you sure you wont come with?" Yellow worriedly looked down at Kaymi from Epona. She and Green were ready to leave.
Kaymi shook her head. "Yeah! Sally and Gumi are here so I have to be with them!"
"Well, okay
" Yellow seemed a bit disappointed. The friends said their good-byes then Yellow and Green set off back to their home. Kaymi kept smiling until they left the horizon, and then a feeling of gloom took over Kaymi.
She screeched when she felt two hands on her shoulder.
"There you are~!" Vaati pulled Kaymi close into his chest, with a good grip on her wriest, Vaati dragged her threw the castle, into the room with the Dark Mirror in it. "Now I'm going to show you what happens to anyone who disobeys me
"
Before Kaymi even knew what was going on, Vaati threw her into the Dark Mirror and sealed her in. Fear and panic began to take over Kaymi and she banged on the glass screaming and crying. Vaati chuckled to himself and he left her there. Though people would come see the mirror every day, no one would even look at Kaymi. She was nothing but a shadow to them. Even when Sally came to cry, Kaymi couldn't do anything.
And in that mirror, was where Shadow Kaymi remained for a long while.

Kaymi lay down on her bed in tears. No one was there, the door was locked; the way Kaymi liked it. It was all over; all the confusion. Kaymi should have been happy...
After a talk with Green, they had decided to go to Yellow. And then she would choose between them... She choose Green. It's okay... Kaymi would keep telling herself over and over in her mind. Even despite everything that had happened; somehow Kaymi knew this would happen... It wasn't very hard to figure out. Somehow that wasn't the worst part...
"You're going to get your happy ending too..."
That was what she said... Everything that had happened... That was what hurt the most... Kaymi had loved Yellow so much... But in the end it had only hurt her deeply. Yellow smiled ever so sweetly at Kaymi... And Kaymi smiled back. But it was only to hide her pain...
But even so, Kaymi was truly grateful to Yellow. She had learn a valuable from this experience... There were no happy endings. They just didn't exist. It didn't matter how many times her heart refused to listen, she knew it was true. Even as Kaymi cried, she was glad that she knew Yellow... For the first time Kaymi had experienced the most wonderful feeling... Love. Though now it seemed more like a ghost of the past... Never again would Kaymi be fooled by such a feeling. It didn't matter now anyway...
At least Yellow was happy... In the end that was all that mattered. The last thing Kaymi saw before she left was Yellow's smile... And that was good enough for her...

"Do you believe in happy endings?"
"Happy endings? Don't be stupid, they don't exist. A happy ending is nothing but an excuse made by humans."
"
Have you ever been in love?"
"No, of course not. Love is a waist of time and effort. It isn't real. It's all in your head, poisoned by fairy tales."
"Is any emotion real?"
"No, the only real emotions is anger and disappointment. But it is barley an excuse."
"I see. Then what is real?"
"What do you mean?"
"When everything you know is wrong, what can you turn to? Who? What is real? What can we trust?"
"I'm not sure
"
"
"
"
Of course, in the end, how can we be sure anything is real?"
